Exemplary Award:

1. Students in grades 9-11 may  submit 3 of their 2D works on a provided Google Drive link. 
2. Students in grade 12 or who are graduating in June of 2022 may submit 3-5 of their 2D works on the provided Google Drive link.
3. Students  in grades 9-11 may also submit 3 films, video's or animations on our Filmfreeway site.
4. Students in grade 12, or who are graduating in June of 2022 must submit 3-5 films, video's or animations on our Filmfreeway site.

 Work that is accepted for an award will be included in a press release and sent to all participating schools.  These works will be highlighted on the Show Website.

 Exemplary Media Art Award:
To earn an Exemplary Media Art Award a student's work must show noteworthy content, a creative approach, attention to composition and a command of craft.Judges will look for:

• clarity of vision / personal or social statement and content appropriate for a high school audience
• creativity, inventiveness, originality
• design, image composition
• craftsmanship, technique as fitting the media e.g. clear sound, lighting, shots, etc.

President's Award: 
In order to be considered for a President's Award:

1. Only those 12th graders who are graduating June 2022 may submit work to be considered.
2. Students must submit 3-5 works of art and or film, video or animation.

 For the President's Award student work is chosen based on the following criteria: 

• A student whose entire body of work shows noteworthy content, a creative approach, attention to composition, a command of craft,  is visually and technically outstanding.

Tom Gala Award for Sound and Music:
The Tom Gala Award for Sound and Music  is given in memory of Thomas  P. Gala, co-producer of the annual Youth Media Arts Shows, who loved music and the arts – especially the unique expression by young media makers. The work that is chosen must include original student music or creative sound.
